Chris and Claudine came out for supper yesterday and stayed overnight. We watched "The Tripilets of Belleville". Chris mentioned viewing it in the bar as a "fund raiser" for the Bike for Bibles tour. That would be fun.
I slept fairly well last night and Jessi didn't wake us at the usual 5:30. Bob got a ride to work with Bev and Peter and I took Chris and Claudine in for 10. Bob and I were meeting with our lawyer to update wills and add Power of Attorney. From there it was on to Sears where I did find flip flops for Bob and I. Next to Cleve's to check out sports bras. No go. Arrived at Vito's to meet members of the ACW for their closing. It was pleasant. On to Bikes and Beans to check for a new computer and also put aside some cycling socks and two more tubes which I will pick up on tomorrow after the Ladies night ride. Sonya was at the store and she had cycled over on her spiffy one speed orange cruiser. Nice bike. On to see Jean but she wasn't home, so I came home to spend some time with Jessi. We had a good cuddle, and a talk and then I took her for a walk to the mail and on to visit with Diane.
Joan MacDonald called too say that she had a friend who cycled Canada a few years ago and that he had been reading my blog. He e-mailed her to advise me not to become overly concerned about how fast our KPH was as it could interfere mentally with the enjoyment of each day. Good advice thanks.
Bob and I did the Stockfarm, Hammond River, Smithtown Covered bridge to Damascus to Elliot Rd and then Meenan's cove to home. It is a 52 km ride. We came to an accident at the intersection of Meenan's and the Arterial. Lots of police cars, fire trucks and ambulance. Traffic was backed up for quite a distance.
