Rainy Days, Sunday June 4, 2006
Well, another weekend come and gone and it still continues to rain. Will it ever end? My back yard looks like a pond and my plants stick out like lily pads. The only thing missing are the frogs.... Obviously we didn't get out for any bike training on Saturday or Sunday.
Bob arrived home last night from Nova Scotia where he had been the past week staying with his mother while his father was in hospital. His dad is home now and things are going well. His sister, Sharon, is also down from Ontario to be with them.
Today, after church and our following meeting place at Tim's, Bob and I went shopping...ugh, to try to find some of the things still needed for our trip. I was successful in finding an inexpensive pair of track pants and some articles for my travel bag. Bob went grocery shopping while I was at Sear's.
We stopped by to visit with Chris and Claudine following. We had tea served in neat little ceramic cups. They were quite unique in design and size. Never before have I had 10 cups of tea in one sitting!! Chris navigated around this blog showing us some of the features of the site and the capabilities for our future use. Following Claudine showed us the pictures they took during their recent trip to Boston. It is always fun to visit with them. We saw their kitties, Kuan and Mineu (sp?) who seem so content and settled now. Quite a difference from when they first moved to the apartment.
Then it was back home in the torrential rain; the water on the highway being unreal. We did pass one lonely cyclist along the Old Rothesay Road. He actually looked quite content...or perhaps it was a grimace permanently planted on his face?
